Finishers Fight Team goes 3-0 this weekend

This past weekend we had 3 of our students compete at local mixed martial arts and kickboxing shows. The weekend started off with Jules Knighton an Easton Pennsylvania local making his return to the cage. Jules did a great job of using his striking, wrestling, and jiu jitsu together to control his opponent. Each round Jules secured the takedown took his opponent's back and was working to finish the rear naked choke. It was great coming back to the cage and now we know we can push to the next level. Maybe even sometime in the next year or two you'll see him on the professional circuit.

The very next night Anthony Farrugia and Bryan Diaz both fought on U.S.K.A fight night in hamburg PA. This is where all the local school's in Pennsylvania take their best kickboxers to get some experience and to test what we work in class. Anthony who is 18 years old defeated a 35 year old man this weekend. He relied on his technique to overcome the strength gap and dominated the entire fight from opening to closing bell. Anthony even received two standing 8 counts after rocking his opponent badly with well placed and timed shots. Bryan did more of the same as this was his first time stepping into a ring. Bryan fought great and used his boxing along with a great rear front kick to win a dominant unanimous decision 30-26. Our fight team is very young but I could not be more proud of the progress we have been making. Thank you guys for laying it on the line and stepping it up under the bright lights. You guys represent Finishers very well and I couldn't be a prouder coach.
